Q: What is the part# of T clamp of 2004 VW Jetta's Negative Terminal?
Can you tell me the part # of T-shaped clamp of 2004 VW Jetta's negative battery terminal? It's not 3A0-915-138 as this part is narrower than the right one and has blunth theeth. Original is wider and has pointy teeth.
A: Unfortunately its not available by itself, you have to purchase the entire cable. Did the stud snap in half? I see it happen alot at my dealer. Ive even done it, we all make mistakes here and there. Sorry man. My advise to you is find the cheapest positive or negative cable to any MK4 platform car and take the stud from it. Or pay for the correct neg cable for your car.
Q: Do 2004 VW Jetta tail lights fit on a 2003 VW Jetta?
I need to replace my tail lights on my 2003 VW Jetta GLI because mine are illegally tinted. I don't like the way the 2003 Jetta tail lights look, so I want to replace them with the 2004 Jetta tail lights. Would the 2004's fit on the 2003 model?
A: Yes they will, all parts for a 99 - 04 are interchangeable. They didn't really change the body style until 2005. If you don't light the original 2003 tail light why don't you look for after market tail light on the web for them? There are companies like neuspeed and k2motor.com that have good looking lights. Good Luck in your search and hope you pick out some bad ass lights for your jetta to represent!!!

I've had a '04 Volkswagen Jetta since around 2006. My dad is selling it to me, and I want to make sure he isn't charging me too much! (Hehe) We bought it for about $15,000 used. What is the current retail value of this car?

Q: My front brakes are squeeking on my 2004 VW Jetta GLS. How much should an auto shop charge?
The VW dealership wants $245 +tax, I knew they would be alot. I found a small auto repair shop, close to me, and they want to charge me $185. anyone? I don't want to get screwed because I am a girl. Thanks ya'll
A: BJ gave a good answer. For $245, you should be getting new pads, resurfaced, or "turned" (as in machined smooth on a lathe) rotors and they should bleed the system as well. The going price for this work is about $100 / wheel, but 245 at a VW dealer probably isn't a rip off. However, this is very straight forward work, so a local repair shop should easily be able to do the same work. I'd go w/ your local man at $185.
Q: I have a 2004 vw jetta went to do a tune up could not find the fuel filter.?
Itt has a 2.0L engine. Where is the fuel filter located? Bought one at a local parts store but did not find anything that looked like the one they sold me
A: It is located in front of the back wheel on the passenger side. I've changed mine out on my 1.8t. It is a easy job but make sure you don't break the hose clips or your in for a world of hurt. In the sources I included a DIY with pictures that will help out.

Q: 2004 vw jetta weird tick noise..?
I have a 2004 vw jetta 2.0 engine with automatic tranny and it has only 30,000 miles. recently, i have been hearing a ticking noise coming from the engine. when I speed up the ticking speeds up too.. it is also ticking when in idle but very lightly. Its been 5,000 miles since i serviced it.. could this be it? what are other scenarios.. thanks
A: Most would be what part of the motor it is coming from. My son had a Jetta with the overhead cam and it started ticking and we found out it was one of the cam followers. Sits on top of the valve and the cam spins on it.
Q: 2004 VW JETTA 1.8T Coolant temperature sensor location ?
Hi,
My 2004 VW Jetta 1.8 T lately displayed check engine light and with OBD II scanner from AA turned out to be code: PO118. This means Coolant Temp Circuit High Input ..
It looks like from browsing that the coolant temperature sensor might be the culprit. I want to replace it with a new one. But have no idea where coolant temp sensor is located ... It would be great if anyone knew the location of the sensor and how difficult it is to replace ..
Also in the case of going to get it replaced by a mechanic, how much mechanic would charge ?? I am a student can't afford fancy dealer or big mechanic shops. I want it to be replaced cheaply...
thanks for any help
A: If you are looking for the coolant temperature sensor for the (ECM) it will be on the drivers side in the hose and you can see.
It takes about 1/2 hour too replace it once the engine has cooled down..
