Q: How do I use the 4wd feature on my 2007 Toyota Rav4?
I have a 2007 Rav4. Is the 4wd automatic or do I turn it on? I have a button that shows 4 wheels and says lock. What is that button?

A: I recently changed my career. I now work for Toyota. In the vehicle the 4 WD is automatic. It is Front wheel drive bias the button you are refering to is to lock your center diff . This will split the power to your wheels more evenly. If you get the car stuck or something like that. It will not allow you to use it at high speeds. durring normal driving you dont have to worry about it the car knows what to do. that is a good choice for SUV very safe and well powered. Not to mention the awsome resale value.

Q: How much has a 2007 Toyota RAV4 depreciated before I even buy it?
The New 2008 model will be out shortly. This means the 2007 RAV4 is really a 1 year old automobile. (I am worried about the depreciation). So will a dealer give me a better price? How much can I expect a dealer to give me off of the MSRP?

A: At least 10%.

Q: How much shall I put as selling price for my 2007 Toyota Rav4, 2WD, 34K miles in SF Bay area?
How much shall I put as selling price for my 2007 Toyota Rav4, 2WD, 34K miles in SF Bay area?

A: its recommended that you use this website: www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com to find the "real" value of your vehicle. be honest or else it'll miscalculate the price. hope this helped.

Q: Can someone who owns a 2007 Toyota RAV4 tell me the pros and cons of owning one?
We test drove one and really liked it, but have been hearing a lot of things about the engine noise on freeways. Can someone who owns one, tell us the pros and cons of a RAV4?

A: I traded in a 1999 4Runner and a 2005 Corolla on a 2007 RAV4 about a month ago. I bought the 4 Cylinder Sport. I have heard no engine noise at all, in fact it has been a great little SUV. I'm not sure if you are looking at the base model, sport or limited, but I would recommend the Sport but in a V6 instead of the 4 cylinder I bought. You will get better power, and the gas mileage is not too different than the 4 cylinder. I had to buy a 4 cylinder in order to make an even exchange for my trades. Generally speaking.... THE PROS: -Can move the rear seat back further to make more room in the backseat. -Comfortable seats -6 CD changer nice amenity -Dash set up nicely -Lots of trunk space -Very smooth ride, smooth shifting automatic transmission -Gas mileage comparable to a car but SUV performance -4WD performs awesome! -Price is very good for the quality you get! CONS: -It is a small SUV, therefore if you haul lots of kids, pets, etc. it may be worthwhile to pass over the RAV or even Highlander for a 4Runner. -Doesn't have 4WD in high and low -As mentioned before, 4 cylinders lack power at critical points, like merging onto freeways, etc. Overall, I'd pick a Toyota over any of its competitors. Hope my two cents helped!

Q: How often should I change the air filter in a 2007 Toyota Rav4 V6?
I know I can check my owner's manual but I was wondering when I really need to change it & how often.

A: every 15k or one year. whichever comes first. this is what we did at toyota when I worked there

Q: Difference between a 2008 toyota rav4 and a 2007 toyota rav4?
What is the difference between the two models? When I saw them they both looked the same to me..Thank you all!!

A: Manufacturers may make minor changes to the trim and finish but the majority will remain the same. It costs MILLIONS of dollars to make a major production change so they only do that every 5 to 7 years.

Q: How much would it cost to lease a 2007 Toyota Rav4 to a 17 year old new driver?
for 36 months? for 48 months?

A: no child can sign for a least nor can a person with fresh credit as a least takes EXCELLENT credit to get. if this is a child, drop the lease idea....its not for you and only about 6% of the population can even lease a car to begin with. they advertise leases cause the price is lower than a bank loan and that draws customers in thinking all prices are low....its called marketing. if this is the parent and are thinking of this car for your child....smack yourself a few times in the mirror and then wake up. a lease for a child? are you insain? limited mileage, car must be in perfect condition to return, etc etc.....and you expect this to all happen? what dream world are you in?

Q: Which used vehicle should I get a BMW 2004 X3 or a 2006/2007 Toyota Rav4?
Im looking for a 4x4. So both are 4x4 and priced around $19,900. Mileage around 20-30T. Is the maintenance for this kind of BMW expensive? or should I stick with a newer Rav4?

A: my sister has a rav4 and she likes it. and this rwnoroksi or whatever is a tool. dont listen to him.

Q: Is 2007 Toyota Rav4 good for tall People?
I may trade in my 2006 corolla because my knee kills me because the gas pedals are so close and the seat doenst go back very far. I was wondering because the rav4 is an SUV then there should be more legroom because i'm higher up. Thanks! I am 6foot

A: Yes, the RAV4 should do you just fine. A good friend of mine just recently purchased an '07 RAV4, and he's just under 6' tall. So far, he has nothing but good things to say about it. I agree with the person above who also suggested trying out the Highlander. However, it should be noted that, due to an increase in dimensions on the 2006 model (14" in length and 21% increase in interior volume), the new RAV4 isn't as significantly smaller than the Highlander as it used to be.

Q: I have a 2007 Toyota RAV4, it has the factory remote start.?
Can the remote start be programed so that the parking lights stay on when you start it using the remote start?

A: No, not if it does not do it now. Do you have it on without remote when starting? If you turn daytime lights off they will not come on.

Q: I have a 2007 Toyota RAV4 and the head restraint is tilted too far forward. Any suggestions for adjustment?
I'm petite (5'3") and I can't seem to get a comfortable fit. I would consider additional back support if the headrest cannot adjust. I tried contacting the dealer but they said it would be over $300 to upgrade the headrest.

A: This is a very common complaint on the RAV4.....would suggest that you contact Toyota directly and let them know that you are unhappy with it...maybe they will give you a break on the upgrade

Q: Is a factory installed navigation system available on 2007 Toyota RAV4?

A: They arn't installed at the factory itself but at the dealership where you are going to purchase it - btw nice car!

Q: Please help me figure out what a fair offer (to a dealer)would be on a 2007 Toyota Rav4 (invoice price=19,378)
I understand their is "holdback" to consider. I just don't understand how to figure in the "options" listed on the sticker or do i even figure them in. Do I just use the invoice price without taking the options into account and work up from there? Help!!

A: As a Nisan and Hyundai dealer, I would consider $500 over invoice fair, which would make the sale price $19878 plus tax, title, and documentation fee. This is just my opinion and I hope it helps. Good Luck and enjoy your new Rav 4. I didn't finish reading the whole thing and I'm sorry. When you go to the dealership, just simply ask to see a copy of the invoice and make a fair offer over that. You should have no problem doing this after you've picked the vehicle you want to buy. Ok..... Now I hope this helps and good luck!

Q: 2007 Toyota Rav4 Towing?
I have a 2007 Toyota Rav4 and Two 3 seater Seadoos on a Double Trailer the tow rating on the Rav4 is 3500 Pounds mine is FWD and the V6 the Seadoos Weight about 1,000 Pounds each with a full tank of gas. I don't know how much the trailer weighs but im worried about sliding on the ramp i have launched and pulled up the ramp a few times and there was a little bit of wheel sliping but i woundered if it matters how many people you have in the car and how much stuff you have in the car i heard that the tow rating was measured with only the average driver's weight I would like to know if you think its safe or not and any tips. By the way the trailer does not have brakes.

A: Well, if you're up within 10% or so of your towing limit then personally I wouldn't heavily load the car too. You could/should probably get away with it, but you're going to be pushing the limits and that's when trouble tends to come along.

Q: I have Toyota RAV4 2007 car. The maintain require light is always on now. How can I turn off or reset it?

A: what i did was got to autozone and bought a obd pocket scanner for $60 it saves you money the dealer will probably charge you $80 for the same thing. it comes with a program disk for your pc, you enter the car info and the codes that came up and it will list the problem, it eliminates guessing and saves you money, you can even use it on friends and familys cars to help them out. i love the thing.
