Q: Where is the Speed Sensor wire for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma?
Can someone tell me where the Speed Sensor Wire is for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma? I need this info to fully install a Pioneer AVIC-f900bt. Thanks
I left this out-V6 Extended Cab SR5 4WD
A: green/orange wire, 4k, found on the ECM behind the glove box.
Q: My 2003 toyota tacoma will not turn on with the keys in the ignition. The brakes are locked.?
I need help asap.
A: If neither of the two worked, once our Toyota Sienna XLE minivan would not start after I had ran several errands and I had to call AAA from a shopping center. The tow truck driver came and initially no luck, and was about to tow but then he said he wanted to try one last thing & he moved/shifted the gears and I presumed returned to Neutral or Park...Guess what? the engine started and I guess it was somehow stuck between gears?
Hope the Above Info Helps!
Q: Check engine code P0032 on 2003 Toyota Tacoma?
I got this trouble code and changed the sensor before the converter. I used my actron to clear the code and it was fine for 3 weeks. The O2 sensor was bought from Toyota and was an exact fit. Why would this code keep coming back. I did check the wires and they are okay. The truck has 71000 miles on it.
I have the 3.4 V6
A: The PO code you refer to could be set by the other 02 sensor beause if my memory serves me correctly there's 2 02 sensors before the catalytic converter one on each bank of cylinders right and left side i may be wrong its 2am friday night.maybe its the other one?If thats not the case then your engine is either runnin too rich or too lean.It takes several drive cycles with malfunctions to make the light go on.
Q: I have a toyota tacoma V6 2003 and I have been told the Throttle sensor needs to be replaced Where does it go?

A: just buy a Chevy and you will save yourself this and any further repairs that a rice burner like that one will give you . ;)

Q: 2003 toyota tacoma vs 2003 chevrolet s10 whats better?
i am trading in my car and looking to buy a truck which truck is better??
A: Tacoma all the way... just is...
Unless your kicken a 350 in the s10 and lowering it, the s10 is better for that shizz.
But overall truck for truck, the tacoma rapes.

A: Castrol. I have been running Toyotas for years, I have one with over 400,000 miles on it, all Castrol. If it is a V-6 your running i'd use 5W30 castrol.
Q: 2003 Toyota Tacoma (shaking/rattling)?
Every time I stop at a red light my car starts shaking, its drives fine. Its only when I come to a complete stop its start rattling a bit. Does anyone have any idea what this can be?
A: it sounds like a vacuum leak. either a line fell off or cracked. You should also check your plugs and make sure they are all firing
Q: Changing the brake pads on a 2003 Toyota Tacoma?
I tried to change the brake pads on my truck and I removed the 4 long bolts going through the caliper, after doing so brake fluid started to pour out. So, therefore, I replaced the bolts. At this point what do I need to do to replace the pads and restore the caliper to it's normal working order? I have to press my brake pedal to the floor and even then it doesn't stop properly. My pedal is now spongy and has no pressure.
A: Unfortunately, the first answerer is right... you now have to bleed the brakes which requires two people. On the back side of the caliper, you will see something that looks like a little stud sticking out with a hole in the middle of it and a nut on it. This is actually the bleed valve the other guy mentioned.
The idea is to crack this open while someone slowly presses the brake pedal all the way to the floor in order to push the air out. Once they reach the floor, they should hold it there while you close the valve. Repeat this process until all that comes out is fluid. It's best to close the valve mid-stroke of the brake pedal on the final time. Check the fluid level in the reservoir before and after this procedure.
Once you get things working right again, it's time to change the pads properly...
Although I never had a Tacoma, I've had a Camry and a Tercel and both cars had similar calipers. I can't remember what size, but in both cases all I needed to remove the calipers was a metric Allen wrench and to remove two large Allen bolts.
Once you get the old pads off, you have to spread the caliper open before you can get it back on with the new pads (since the new pads will be thicker than the old ones). Repair manuals will tell you to open the bleed valve to do this, but then you risk getting air in the line again. I like to use a big metal c-clamp to squeeze the calipers and force the brake fluid back into the reservoir... some people pry them apart with a large screwdriver, but I find the c-clamp works so much better.
Once they are spread, just slip the new pads into place (they usually have a spring-like retainer to hold them) and then slip the caliper back over the disc and bolt it down. As long as you didn't open the bleed valve to spread the calipers, then you won't have to bleed the brakes.

Q: 2003 tacoma tires rubbing question?
I have a stock 2003 toyota tacoma 4x4 ext cab sr5..I just got 265/75/16 mud terrains with aftermarket 16/8 rims.. My front tires rub when i turn sharp to the left or going over bumps.. My question is What kinda lift do i need to fix this? I don't really wanna do the leveling kit and i don't wanna go over 3 or 4 inches if i don't have too...And i don't want to spend tons of money doing this...I don't have the option of changing to smaller tires either! Could someone point me in the right direction of a good website or lift-kit that i could use? Or any ideas would be a great help...Thanks
A: I had the same problem with my 98 tacoma.I put 33x12.5 on the truck with 3 inch daystar spacers on the front and 3 inch add a leafs on the back...The tires fit except when I turned the front wheels.I even removed the front mudflaps and trimmed the inner splash shield...I had to to 33x9.5 swampers to solve the problem...I think the daystar lift will cure your problem because your not puttting on as large of tire as I did...It,ll cost you about 250.00 installed...Big O tires put the lift on for me...Lots of luck!!!
www.jegs.com has the spacers for 130.00
Q: What is the LED under the ashtray in a Toyota Tacoma for?
In my 2003 Tacoma. there is a red LED beneath the ashtray near the power outlets that has never come on and is not mentioned in the manual. The wire to it seems to be cut -- am I missing some feature?
A: It may have been from a former owners alarm system or is lit when the auxiliary socket is in use
Q: Toyota Tacoma mpg ?
What are the mpg ratings for a 2003 toyota Tacoma with the 3.4 liter v6 4x4 and the extra cab?
A: not quit sure on an 03, but my friends 2001 gets 19-21 on his tacoma.
and it also depends on how you drive it.
I'm sure the 03's aren't much different. give or take a mile here or there.
Hope this helps.
Q: Paint job on my Toyota Tacoma?
I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. I'm not asking for a exact estimate, but in what price range would a paint job be? The truck still looks in great condition but it has a few scratches and a little ding in one area and another dent in the very bottom corner which is not very noticeable at all but still bothers me. It's something i am considering doing even though the truck still looks great but I know it will mean a lot of saving and I'm not sure it's worth it to fix such minor stuff and the paint on the truck is completely fine.
Thanks
I also have to add that you have to know me as a person to know why I owuld even consider it. I am a extremely obsessive, nit picky, perfectionsit person. The slightest scratch or ding drives me crazy even though to everyone else it's really nothing.
A: Most shops will tell you to pain the whole truck, look if the scratches are not to deep then you can just get the truck professionally polished with a buffer it make the car look new, as for the small dent or damage you can sometimes get that fixed and painted with out having to pain the whole truck. Price differs from state to state and year and model of truck, just shop around to different places. For example if the damage is bad enough to have work done to it, then the painter will prob just paint up to the molding then they just blend and clear coat it.....I say don't paint it just get it polished
Q: Should I trade a 2001 Toyota Tacoma for a 2003 Hyundai Tibouron?
The only reason is because I need a little more room (mainly for my 160 pd dog) haha.
My toyota has some body damage and as far as I know nothing is wrong with his car except a few minor body scratches. I know Hyundai's have improved a lot too. Also, I was thinking, even if I didn't want the Hyundai anymore I could trade it in, I was thinking I would get a better deal trading it then my toyota.
Any advice would help.
Thanks!
A: Your Toyota Tacoma is worth more money than a Hyundai Tibouraon any day. Toyota will out last any Hyundai in the market, resale value of hyundau drops alot as soon as you drive off the lot. I sold Hyundai before and selling toyota now.
