To Old Man Dirt... I have 3 cars: Chevy Venture, Toyota Corolla and Honda Accord. I have tried all for that kind of problem and shifting transmission to neutral solved problem. My cars lower speed immediately.
A: It's no problem to shift into neutral in any of the cars except the Prius.
On the Prius, stomping and holding the brakes will engage a panic mode that will give the brakes extra boost and stop engine acceleration (the engine will be running at idle speed). This will occur even if the accelerator pedal is floored (A Yahoo Prius group member just tried several different ways to get the Prius to accelerate when it shouldn't, and the only way he was able to achieve it was to just press the brakes enough so that they rubbed and hold the accelerator down..

A: The truth has finally caught up with them. Back in the 70's people were hungry for something "different" since the only options were American and European companies both of which made the best vehicles in the world. Then along came Toyota and it was offered as a low cost alternative and it was the "different" people were looking for but they confused different with "better". This is like the goat that thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the fence so always tries to get their. The gullible maintained that Toyota was better only because it was and is different but in actuality no Japanese company has ever caught up to European or Americans for safety & quality.

A: Of course it does! They're recalling Toyotas, Peugeots and Citroens made in the Czech republic having the same problem. Add to it the recall in People's China.

I've recently heard that Depending on the car some are separate and some are mixed together. Like I said I have a '96 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder. I have fluid leaking from where the drivers side axle is connected to the differential.
A: Scope, To answer your question, how many automatic transmission dip-stick and fill tubes does your car have? I've never seen an automatic transmission with more than one. *Your ring and pinion and automatic transmission are both lubricated with automatic transmission fluid. It's a simple repair to remove and re-press a new inner axle seal. Unfortunately the half-shaft has to come out to do the job. The inner axle shaft, just to the left of the splines should be checked for a mark or groove. If there is a grove on the axle (which could lead to another fluid leak) spend an extra $65.00 for a re-manufactured half shaft.

I wanted to know if anyone had any information on how many keys usually does a Toyota car accept after the immobilizer has been reset? I was told only 2 master keys are able to be program after a reset. I was wondering if that was true? And is there any way to add more keys? Or only Toyota can do that?
A: Two masters and one valet are required after a reset. The vehicle will accept up to 5 masters and 3 valet. See a locksmith to add more keys.

I bought it for $15000 including any document fee and cruise control but it doesn't have keyless entry or remote.
A: By the way, you didn't mention that you would have wanted power windows or door lock, but you might consider a car stereo shop since they may have car stereo options and things like an alarm as well as door and windows option. Some people even spring for a remote ignition start as well. Toyota, although of good quality, may be more expensive so with the savings from factory installed, you may get more with after market installations.
Q: How long will it take for Toyota to settle under the Tacoma Buyback Warranty?
Under the extended Corrosion warranty, Toyota has agreed to buyback my vehicle since the frame is horribly rusted. We got little info from the dealership. How long will it be before we settle with Toyota. Does anybody know? I plan on calling the dealership in a few days if we do not hear anything, I am just trying to get a rough time frame. Q: How can I connect my iPod to Toyota Yaris?
I just got a toyota yaris and I need to find a way to connect my ipod to its speakers. It has speakers but it doesn't have cd-player/dvd-player. All it has for audio system is speakers. I have a cable which worked in toyota siena, I plugged one end where I plug my headphones on the ipod and the other in aux in the car and it worked.
A: If you don't have the actual stereo you probably don't have the aux in jack. It's located in the center console area, right in front of the parking brake.
