Q: Recommended wiper blades for a Subaru Tribeca?
My local Subaru dealer tells me that only Subaru wiper blades can go on a Subaru. Is this true? If so why? and what quality/price am i looking at? If i can fit aftermarket ones, are there any recommendations? I'm even considering swapping the wiper arms so i can use reasonably priced blades, will this invalidate my warranty. Finally can i use the following two brands/models of wiper on my car (Subaru Tribeca) Anco 31 Series or Michelin Rainforce?

A: Your dealer is peeing on your leg and telling you it is raining. I have found that the Bosch Icon is the best wiper I have ever used. Add a little Rain-X to the mix and you will be set.

Q: Is it possible to install a 3rd-row seat in a 2006 Subaru Tribeca 5-passenger model?
I recently purchased a used 5-passenger model of the Tribeca, but have since seen that there is a 3rd-row seat option. I would like to have a 3rd-row seat for occasional use by small kids. Is it possible to have a 3rd row installed after the fact? Thanks!

A: This is not intended to be legal advice. There are all sorts of legal ramifications regarding after-market installation of a third seating row and the mandatory seat belts for it. This question must be answered by a Dealership. There might be a kit, and there might not be. All requirements for seat tie down strength and for seat belt connection points strength must be satisfied. There may be different air bag configurations involved. Rear facing child seats tie down points may also enter the equation.

Q: would the saturn outlook, GMC acadia or subaru tribeca work for a family with 4 kids?
i have three kids, but may have another within the next few years. would any of the above vehicles be spacious enough for 4 children? thanks so much!

A: I'd say arcadia, the tribeca has no room in the back seat for friends, and the saturn outlook doesn't hold that much gear

Q: how can i connect my ipod touch 2nd generation to my 2007 subaru tribeca?
i was finding about it, but i don't really understand, so... can you tell me how to connect it or where is the port for that? or i need to buy something? because the car was my mom's so she gave it to me and i need to connect the ipod

A: The port is located inside the center armrest console. It takes a cable that goes from the earphone jack in your Ipod and has the same connector on the other end. You can buy those cables at Wal Mart or Best Buy. You set the sound system to AUX and you're ready to go. It does not charge your Ipod though so if you use it for an extended period of time you will need a charger.

Q: vovlo xc90 or subaru tribeca?
My family is thinking about buying a car and we're down to the volvo xc90 or the subaru tribeca. Could you give me some advice and like a consumer report?

A: If you want consumer report reviews and stuff like that look on the web. I can give you my personal opinion. Both would be good but the Volvo would cost more to maintain. I am not a Volvo fan and even a couple people I know with newer ones have had problems with them. Now, Subaru's are great snow cars and my cousin has a WRX and he beats the hell out of it and it is still in great shape. If it was me I would get the Subaru.

Q: Ful Synthetic Oil change and filter for 2006 B9 Tribeca Subaru?
How much does it usually cost for this service? Sullivan Goodyear charged me 69.95. I wasn't sure if I got ripped off or it was a reasonable price. Experienced people only, pls! For those who didn't understood my question, what is the cost of getting "Full Synthetic Oil" and filter Change? I know regular oil is cheaper.

A: The last oil change I got cost me less than $20.00 at the Buick dealer. If you are changing your oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles and your automobile doesn't require synthetics, your throwing a lot of money away! Never paid more than $25.00 for any oil change.

Q: Subaru Tribeca Problems?
What are the problems with Subaru Tribeca? And can you tell me any other weaknesses Subaru has with its cars?

A: I bought a Tribeca when they were first introduced. I traded it for a 2008 when they changed the front grill style (I liked the looks much better). I never had a single problem with the first and currently have 50,000 miles on the second without even a single problem. We have 8 Subarus in our family and there is not a one of them that has ever given any type of problem. We maintain them as recommended, and if you do that, you should never have anything go wrong.

Q: would a subaru tribeca haul a boat?

A: yes, the maximum towing is 3500lbs. it probaly would strain it though it shouyldn't overheat. Overall, it will work

A: It depends how far you want to haul it. towing is very hard on a vehicle's transmission. If the subaru has rear wheel drive, and the boat ramp is not too steep, and you only tow it locally, you should be ok.

Q: nissan murano or subaru tribeca?
Im trying to decide which to buy. I like the tribeca's touch screen. the murano has it as well but no touch feature.. The Murano is more powerful and im not quite sure which is more confortable. help me!

A: well... that person that answered your question at first is right. but here is the thing.. Touch feature is sweet. YES... But look at the murano's. its regular but its nice too. so dont just get the tribeca cause it has a touch screen....in the sun roof. they are pretty much the same. in space... and luxury.. the tribeca and the murano has the same features. except for some things in the dashboard.. the murano has more power.... more economy... and girls like it better.. so go for the murano.
