I have a 1999 Honda CR-V with almost 100k on it. I am in need to new tires. I live in Minnesota so i deal with a lot of snow. I want some bigger tires, i want my cr-v to look more agressive.

Q: What are the diffrences between a 2006 Honda CR-V and a 2007.?
I am mostly concerend with features like Vehicle Stability Assist and the amount and placement of airbags. I would like to buy a used Honda CR-V but these features are the reason I am even buying a Honda CR-V.
A: the Honda website has all of the information on the 2007 CR-V including the air bags and vehicle stability asssit, active head restraints etc. here's the link to the Honda site:
http://automobiles.honda.com/models/model_overview.asp?ModelName=CR%2DV
The previous generation CR-V was a little bit shorter, did not have the side curtain air bags that the new one does and did not have vehicle stability assist. if these are the features that are important to you, then the 2007 model is the only choice.
As a positive recommendation, the CR-V is the most reliable and dependable Honda model ever made and that says a lot about that vehicle.
Hope that answers your questions
Q: How is the Honda CR-V 2007 in snow?
I live in New England so I need a car that's good in snow. I have to commute on a highway every morning and I want a winter-safe car. Hows the Honda CR-V 2007?
Any other suggestions?
A: Its usually not the car.. its the tires. Get some good winter tires and you'll be set with a cr-v. Considering its an SUV it should perform better than most other vehicles considering it is heavier.
Q: Why do I have a large steal hook on the back of my Honda CR-V?
I own a 2002 Honda CR-V and yesterday when I went to look to see if I had somewhere to hitch a trailer to the back of it, all I saw was a large metal hook. What is the purpose of this? Can I still hook a trailer to it somehow?
A: The hook was used during the manufacturing process to move the car down the assembly line. No, you can not hook a trailer to it. You will need to install a trailer hitch. You can order them directly from Honda or find them on eBay or Craigslist. Good Luck.
Q: I want to buy a Honda CR-V and want to switch my 18" rims to it. Will they fit? What tires do I need?
I have 18" chrome rims and want to move them to a new Honda Cr-V (2008). Can I do this and do I need certain tires?
A: they will fit me and a buddy put some 18's on his just put some 205 30 18's on it and it will ride
Q: How do you replace the windshield wipers on a 2007 Honda CR-V?
I just recently bought a 2007 CR-V and was wondering how you replace the wiper blades?
A: the easiest way is to go to Walmart and get them to do it for you. It's like $4.
Q: Is $ 21,335 MSRP a fair price for a Honda CR-V LX? If not, what should I negotiate down to?
I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 Honda CR-V LX and visited a dealership yesterday. Before all the add-ons (tinted windows, etc.), the MSRP is $21,335. Is this a fair price or can I get it cheaper? What should I negotiate for?
A: You can look at Edmunds (www.edmunds.com) or Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) to get an idea of MRSP, dealer invoice and what they say people are paying for that vehicle in your area. But it all comes down to demand, availability, etc. One good place is to go to the dealers' web-site in your area and get an on-line quote. The dealers seem to be very aggressive in their pricing if you use this method. Hope this helps.
Q: How many right turns does it take for a Honda CR-V's tire cover to revolve 360 degrees?
Everyone knows that the older CR-V (2006 and previous) had a tire cover on the back. It seems to turn only when you make a right turn. How many times do you have to turn before it returns to it's normal upright state?
Assume that you were able to consistantly take right hand turns at the same velocity and angle of attack. Assume all outside variables are constant in such a way that it would turn the same amount every time.
A: Okay, this is an odd question, and seems to be like asking "how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?"
You may never know. There will be different variables, such as the degree of the turn, the speed the turn was taken, and the incline of the vehicle itself. that's to say the cover is even capable of rotating a full 360 degrees.
My suggestion...go drive a CRV and have someone follow you :)
Given the addition information, I'm going to assume it'll rotate approximately 5 degrees per turn. Each turn being on flat ground, and a 90 degree turn at maybe 5mph which is typical from a stop sign. All I really need to now is how much it'll rotate each turn, and with the estimate of 5 degrees, you'd be making 72 turns before it's to the normal upright state.
Q: How do I replace the rubber hose for Honda CR-V?
Where can I find the large rubber hose that connects from the radiator to the engine for 1998 CR-V? When I feel it the inside is cracked and the only thing keeping it from leaking is the outer rubber.
And how do I remove it? There are two clips on each end that I can't get off with my hands.
A: The hose your mentioning, is called a radiator hose. The clamps that your trying to get off by hand, is impossible. Will need special pliers for those clamps, or just pliers. The Radiator hose can be gotten from almost any autoparst store. Or even the dealership. Good luck.
Q: What's your favorite color for the 07 Honda CR-V?
I am a college boy and I'm getting a all new 07 Honda CR-V. But I'm not sure what color is the best.
What do you think?
A: My neighbor has a green one. Its pretty sweet. Think green like the money you'll be making after college. :)
Q: Is there a aftermarket trunk available for the 2nd gen Honda CR-V that does not have the spare tire on it?
I am considering the 2nd gen cr-v for my first car, but if i bought it i would want to remove the spare tire fro the trunk so i can parallel park easier. Is there an aftermarket trunk somewhere that does not have the spare tire on it?
A: Doubt it anyway you could have the spare and fittings removed.
Q: What size camper can a Honda CR-V tow?
I've read that a 1st generation (1997-2001) Honda CR-V is rated to tow up to 2,000 pounds if what is being towed has separate brakes.
How big of a camper is 2,000 pounds? Are only pop-up tent campers under that weight? Have you ever towed a regular camper with a CR-V, maybe even one weighing more than 2,000 pounds?
Thanks!
A: I wouldn't suggest towing anything with a CR-V but a pop up tent camper. The tow capacity is only 1,500 pounds.
Q: Anybody done comparsions between Nissan Rogue & Honda CR-V?
If so which one do you think is the better vehicle?
My money is on the CR-V although the Rogue looks good and has some nice features.
Honda has the quality, durability and time tested experience.
A: The CR-V is the vehicle that everyone wants to be in terms of styling, economy and reliability. Its the gold standard in the compact SUV category.
The Nissan Rogue is new; has a flashy ad campaign and is a hot product now. Nissan doesn't have the greatest reputation for reliability or resale value compared to Honda and Toyota. Plus, Nissan has had a lot of recalls recently on their trucks.
The Rogue is too new to have any data on costs of ownership and dependability.
You can do some research at the J.D. Power website that might help you out.
www.jdpower.com
Personally, I'd go with the CR-V
Q: What is the fair price of used Honda CR-V 1997, with 48,000 mi?
I'm looking at a nice Honda Cr-v 1997 , with only 48,000 mi. I looked at Edmunds and the price is $5,107. Kelly blue book gives a much higher price.
My question is how much would be fair to the seller & myself?
Thank you.

A: You can check out Kelly Blue Book online.
Q: What can I get a new Honda CR-V for?
I'm looking to buy a new Honda CR-V (automatic & 4x4) and was wondering if anyone had any insight on what price I can really get one for. The cheapest I've seen is about $22k and I'm hoping something around $18k is possible.
Thanks!
A: You can get $18K if you had a clunker to trade-in.
Otherwise, I see $21.4k at http://www.carsdirect.com.
