I have a white 2002 GMC Sierra and i bought a new red one, well the new one didnt have a keyless remote and i got online and figured out how to download and i was so proud of myself, but when i finished i tested the remote and both unlocked at the same time sooooooo yeah please help me thanks not a new red one but a 2003

A: 1. Close all doors 2. Insert key into ignition 3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's door panel, continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9. 4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in a fairly rapid succession. 5. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.) 6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 7. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.) 8. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. 9. Release the power UNLOCK button on the door panel. The vehicle should respond by door locks locking and unlocking automatically. (If locks do not cycle after you let go, not before you let go of the unlock button, then the vehicle has not entered programming mode and you must start procedure over. Remove key from ignition, open drivers door and return to step 1 ). If the locks do cycle automatically then proceed to step 10. 10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote until the doors lock and unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds. 11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional remote. (Including any existing remotes). 12. Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit the programming mode. 13. Test remote(s). To unprogram a remote go into program mode with the remote or remotes you want programed any other not programed at this time will not work.Best of luck.

Q: How to fit a after market speakers into a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 Ext.Cab?
I am planning to replace my stock speakers with after market speakers. I ask because as was taking off the stock speakers, I notice that my 6.5 and 4x6 after market speakers will not stay on unless I drill holes to keep them in place. Do I need a speaker adapter to keep my new speakers in place without drilling holes or do I need to?

A: There are adapter plates sold at car part stores. Drilling is the easiest and cheapest way though. Before you do anything, remember, you cannot un-drill a hole. Measure first and mark before drilling.

Q: What is the function of a canister purge solenoid do? I have a 2003 GMC Sierra truck.?
Would this cause the truck to not turn on Would this cause the truck not to turn on? Would it cause the truck to stop when it would come to a stop? The battery light is on and the meter says it is at 14.

A: The canister purge solenoid is an evaporative emissions control device. The vapors from your fuel system are stored in a charcoal canister until pressure accumulates, then it vents small amounts into the air. I don't see any form of no start condition rooting from an evap canister purge solenoid.

Q: Is there a reset button on my 2003 GMC Sierra 1500?
The alarm has shut off the power from the ignition to the starter. Is there a reset button on this vehicle? The passlock light on the dash shows that the vehicle is locked. Yes, I have checked everything. Even went as far as pulling the fuses out of the Body Control module. Answered a question with a question... if you don't have the answer, don't bother posting.

A: Are you sure it's the alarm, and not some other issue like not in "park" all the way, blown fuse, bad starter, Loose battery cable.....?

Q: My 2003 GMC sierra heat control works for a few seconds when I start it, then it shuts off.?

A: Need a little more information. It could be anything from a bad connection (the plug to the resistor is corroded) or a short in the wiring. First question is the fan working on all speeds?? If it is then you may have a blend door problem i.e. is it blowing hot air then cold air. Where is the air blowing from. etc. good luck

I'm not sure how to get the cover off.

A: I am assuming you application has the trailer tow/haul switch on the end of the shifter proceed as follows: (1)Remove the 2 TORX head screws from the lower column trim cover. (2)Remove the lower column trim cover. (3)Roll back the seal on the shift lever until the TORX head screw is exposed. (4)Remove the TORX head screw (5)Remove the nuts from the knee bolster deflector bracket) (panel undar the steering column) (6)Remove the knee bolster. (7) Remove the wiring harness retaining pin from the instrument panel. NOTE: During removal of the steering column the wire harness retaining clip must be removed and reinstalled after installing the steering column or damage may occur to the wire harness. (8)Remove the wire straps and open the harness insulation to gain access to the electrical wiring. (9)Remove the wiring from the electrical connector. (10)Remove the shift lever ( reverse the procedure to reinstall! :)

Q: High oil pressure reading in a 2003 gmc sierra c/k2500?
the truck runs very well. All other gauges are good reading. Oil pressure stays all the way up when running. Is this a problem or is it ok for the truck to run that way? How to fix it?

A: More than likely your oil pressure sending unit is bad. One way to check is to replace the sending unit with a direct reading gage and start the vehicle, if pressure is with normal the sending unit is bad. Additionally, this sending unit sends a grounding signal to the gage, so if the wires to the sending unit frayed and grounded you will see a high reading. A quick fix if you are mechanically inclined, if not take to a repair shop. High oil pressure is better than low so relax.

Q: Advice 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HDs reliable?
I am seriously thinking about taking over my fathers Sierra truck.I currently own an 05 Focus zx3 SES with 35k miles but while owing nearly double its value and for 4 1/2 more years, im starting to consider this truck. The truck is a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD ext cab 6.0L.It has 85k Miles on it and as far as I know the Flow master is the only mod. I know the difference in gas mileage will probably be staggering. But Ive only put 13k miles on my Focus in a 1 1/2 years so Im no a huge driver. The truck Is already worth more than my car, will probably have a much better resale value and will be paid off in 2 years. So the question I ask is, is it reliable enough to make the trade giving that my Focus has 4 years left of warranty and almost 2/3 less miles? Are Sierras with this size engine expensive to fix? Is the gas mileage going to be extremely poor? Ive never owned a truck,a V8 or one this big. What do you think?

A: I have a 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali (6.0L engine). Currently, (today is 7/14/09) gas is $2.75 at the station near my house and I spend about $80 to fill the tank. This lasts me for about 1 week and a half almost 2 weeks if I just use it to go to work and back. My commute is about 20 miles round trip. Regarding maintenance, it has been relatively trouble free. In the 3 years I have owned it, the biggest problem it's had was the A/C went out, but this got fixed with the extended warranty we bought. Either than that, I just replaced the battery and had the regular oil/fluid changes.
