A: something is wrong with the transmission or the transfer case is stuck in neutral. See a mechanic.
Q: How easy is it to change the fuel filter in a 2005 Ford F150?
A: Ignore the first two posters. Tim has it right. Easy change. But you do have to have a special tool to remove the lines from both ends of the fuel filter. You might even be able to get the line disconnect tool as a free loaner from Advance or Autozone.

A: newer vehicles are made so that you almost always have to take your car to the dealership so that they can make money. most dealerships overcharge so i would look for a local mechanic or body shop and just stop in and ask them if they can point them out to you. advanced auto parts has pretty good assistance too! good luck.

i have an e350 ambulance, weight rating on it is 10,250 its actual "curb weight" is 8100 pounds.
so i can pop a bit over 2000 pounds in the back or pull it with no problem what so ever (and it will do it easily)

Q: My 2005 Ford F150 leaks differential fluid from center rear axle.Not gasket but drive shaft . How do i fix?
A: Its the front seal near the drive shaft. It slings around drive shaft to make it look like it comes from shaft....but, its the front rear differential seal where the pinion gear goes in and might be called pinion seal.
This unusual for such a new truck!

A: There is not much to it, only three wires.
Here's the Mirror color code:
Pin 1, White w/Light Blue Stripe -- Power (+12V) This will mate with another White w/Light Blue Stripe wire in the Truck.
Pin 2, Black -- Ground. This will mate with another Black wire in the Truck.
Pin 3, Black w/Pink Stripe -- Reverse (turns off dimmer in Reverse) This will mate with a Dark Green w/Yellow Stripe wire in the Truck.
Q: My brother wants to trade his 2005 Ford F150...?
My brother owns a 2005 Ford F150 Super crew. I think he paid $21,000 for it. The truck does worth the money. The truck has custom 24" chrome rims, Kicker Sound System, Gps, Fiberglass Bed, Lin con navigator front grill, and a lot of extras. What is happening with him right now is that his father in law offer him a trade. They are offering a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, 2000 Pontiac Grandprix Gt, and $4,500 cash. None of the vehicle are custom. My brother ask me for my opinion and I told him to stay with his truck and stop messing with the vehicles because he will end up with nothing. I also told him that on the other hand its ok because he will own 2 vehicles and have little extra cash for his personal expenses. I told him that his truck is in perfect condition, and if he does trade his truck he will not know how the other cars are doing and that in the future they may stop working and he will end up investing in them. All I am trying to do is help him since he ask me for my opinion. So I now am asking for your opinion. Thanks a lot!

A: heating system has several parts
1 make sure your coolant is full up
2 heater core and flow valve feel the heater hoses under hood hot? cold?
3 heater blend doors ..doors directing heat to differnt areas [feet/dash/defrost] they stick
4 radiator is part of system...ever been flushed?? every 36K sez the book

A: It is likely that they are the same thread size/pitch. However i would recommend turning the knob on SLOWLY as to not cross-thread and/or damage the shifter lever or the shift knob.

A: You should be able to.We had 35"s on a 2004 Ford F-150 with no lift.The width of the tires might be your only problem.We had 315/70/17s.

when or why should 4 wheel drive be used
A: Just keep it in 2 wheel drive unless you loose traction, say like in mud or snow, Use it only when needed.
