Q: How to change rear speakers on a Chevy Impala ss?
I have an 2006 impala ss and my speakers are crackling and i want to change them but i dont know how to take of the rear deck in the interior where the speakers are below, any help would be great, thanks
A: back seat has to come out, bottom and the back, the back will have a couple bolts holding it in down by the floor, take the bolts out and the back will slide up and out and then you will be able to see how the package tray comes out to get to the speakers.

A: You will be fine in it unless you have to sit in the back seat then you might have issues.

A: pretty well name thier prices, its how bad you want it . Parts are comming back You can get just about any part you want , to rebuild it.. thier isnt that many ss 64 conv around., they didnt make that many. I dont think you could buy one for what I bought mine over 40 years ago for 350 dollors and yes still keep it up

We dont notice this when the roads are dry but the problem is very noticeable when the roads are wet. Kids are scared !

and wheel alignement at no cost
look from the back the rear wheel camber is off.

A: I drive a Chrysler 300m, awesome car!, no problems, great gas milage, AND powerful. COmfortable as all hell, lots of power to, 255HP, a lot more than te impala;)

Q: I have a 2004 Chevy Impala SS and it says to use premium fuel, do I really have to?
Premium is $3.70 here versus $3.45 for regular. I don't want to ruin my supercharger or engine by using regular? I know it's only 25 cents more a gallon but that adds up quickly! Help please!
A: You need to run the premium fuel. You will get detonation if you use the lower octane fuel. The pinging the other poster mentioned. This can cause engine damage over time, it will not be cheap to fix. If it is under warranty they will more than likely figure out that you did to make it blow up. If you want to get the most mileage possible, start by making sure your tires are inflated to recommended specs as well as all unnecessary weight is out of the car. Synthetic oil costs a little more than regular, but you will get mileage out of it as well. Make sure your air cleaner is clean, or better yet, you can add an air intake and exhaust, proven mileage improvement but not too cheap.

A: Hook it up to the OBDII port under the dash on the drivers side, turn the car on and then turn the programmer on. Simple as that.

A: it is a very great car
but i'd rather go with a Pontiac G8 GT, its quicker, and rear wheel drive, its also a little more nimble, and has a larger and nicer interior
but the impala ss is still a great car, just look into the G8GT

A: you should be able to doit but you will have to have a dealer program it for you two work in you car

A: It is located directly under the air box on the right side, just behind the headlight.

Does it have a fuse to disconnect
A: You should not attempt to disconnect it, as the OnStar is connected to pretty much every part of the vehicle in order to diagnose maintenance and other problems. If you attempt to disconnect it, the OnStar will detect it as an attempt to steal the vehicle. The vehicle will become inoperable and you will have to have it towed to a dealer to get it reprogrammed.
